Theme and Scope
Mobile Internet of Things (MIoT) refers to numerous 3GPP defined LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) technologies in the IoT space. In MIoT, the 3GPP set a new standard as a reliable carrier for IoT networks operating on licenced spectrum. LPWA networks, specifically, are intended for low-cost IoT systems that need lower bandwidth, have a long-lasting battery, and frequently function in distant and remote places. Conventional mobile networks have been developed to support billions of additional devices, enabling the IoT to be completely connected. In addition, mobile Internet of Things techniques is intrinsically more reliable than alternative approaches. The MIoT networks employ specialized bandwidths to minimize interference, and SIM cards have heavily secured integrated hardware. However, network carriers augment these natural characteristics with protective measures to make the networks even safer in their deployment.
In collaboration with 3GPP, the telecom sector has standardized a new category of GSM solutions at incredible speeds to aid in the continued expansion and advent of the IoT. LPWA networks would accommodate equipment that needs low energy consumption, wide coverage, minimal cost, and privacy in conjunction with their other requirements. LPWA technologies will be critical in linking the millions of new components added to the Internet of Things. Low-power wireless access (LPWA) techniques are projected to enable a varied range of vertical sectors and offer a wide range of applications and installation scenarios that are not presently supported by current wireless methods. A single solution cannot serve all LPWA use cases because of the variety of IoT application needs. The optimal solution cannot perform all LPWA use cases because of the heterogeneity of IoT application demands. Mainly, the telecom sector has concentrated on two licenced 3GPP standards: LTE-M and NB-IoT. LPWA solutions in the licenced spectrum may be implemented quickly without compromising consumer needs like batteries life and safety.
Furthermore, to attain intelligent networks, communication and mobility for the mobile internet of things through utilizing sensors, smart sensors, and processors to enable increased pattern detecting, decision-making, and necessary measures at the edge network is a fresh and innovative paradigm. However, the problem will be regulating all of this information. Modern technologies blockchain, edge computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technologies can direct the realization of intelligent networks, communication and mobility for the mobile internet of things.

• Establishing end-to-end connectivity
• Enhancing mobility and Heterogeneity in MIoT
Notes for Prospective Authors
Submissions must be original and should not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication while being evaluated for this Issue. Manuscripts should be written in English and strictly follow the guideline of the Journal IJCNC. The manuscripts should be submitted to one of the guest editors by January 30 2023 through email miot-AT-aircconline.com
