This is a call for papers and participants for the Fifth Annual New
England Database Summit (NEDB Summit '12). This will be an all day
conference-style event where participants from the research community
in the New England area can come together to present ideas and discuss
their research. Registration for the event is free, and anyone is
welcome to attend. Lunch, drinks and appetizers will be provided
thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. The event will also include
two keynote talks [TBA].
Event details
NEDB Summit 2012 will be held on the MIT campus, in room 32-123 of the
Stata Center, located at 32 Vassar St. on the corner of Main St. and
Vassar St. in Cambridge. The room is on the first floor. The event
will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm,
followed by appetizers and drinks at a poster session.
Technical Program
The program will consist of several invited talks, a number of short
(20-30 minute) presentations from you, the participants, and a poster
session!
If you wish to submit a poster or short talk proposal, please visit
our website, http://db.csail.mit.edu/nedbday12/.
For posters, we require a 1 paragraph abstract. For short talks, we
require a 2 page maximum PDF talk abstract (any format, 10 pt font or
larger). Submissions must be made by January 4, 2012. All reasonable
posters will be accepted; talk invitations will be made by January 13,
2012. We expect to select 5-7 short talk papers for
presentation. Selection decisions will be made by the program
committee.
