G-I-N 2012 - The Guidelines International Network Conference 2012
Topics/Call fo Papers
On behalf of the Scientific Committee, hosting organisations, and the Board of Trustees of the Guidelines International Network (G-I-N), we would like to invite you to celebrate with us 10 years of G-I-N by attending the annual conference at its birthplace in Berlin, Germany, on 22-25 August 2012.
10 years of G-I-N is a special date to reflect lessons learned and to discuss future visions for international collaboration, taking into account the opportunities to share evidence globally and to respect local differences influencing the decision making process at the level of formulating guideline recommendations and policy decisions.
The specific theme for this year’s conference is ‘Global Evidence ? International Diversity’. In this context, strategies and successful examples of international collaboration will be addressed and the Scientific Committee aims to ensure that the diversity of the international audience is represented across all sessions. Major topics will be latest developments in defining standards of quality of guidelines, in the methodology of creating the evidence basis for guidelines, in patient involvement in guideline development and in implementation and knowledge management. We are delighted to prepare you an inspiring programme of plenary sessions, workshops, panel sessions, short oral presentations and posters, all provided by an international panel of invited speakers and abstract submitters.
G-I-N conferences are a perfect opportunity to meet and network with new and old colleagues across disciplines from all over the world who share our daily challenges. They are a unique venue for worldwide sharing of knowledge and experience about guideline development, dissemination, adaptation and implementation. We hope that you will use this occasion to develop and strengthen lasting collaborations with people from a wide range of countries and organisations.
Don’t forget to submit an abstract and book early!
