IPAC 2011 - second International Particle Accelerator Conference (IPAC'11)
Topics/Call fo Papers
We have great pleasure in announcing the second International Particle Accelerator Conference (IPAC´11) which will take place at the Kursaal, San Sebastian, Spain from 4 to 9 September, 2011. This will be the second conference in the new IPAC series evolving from the three regional conferences APAC, EPAC and PAC, and the first one in Europe.
San Sebastian is one of Spain´s most beautiful cities, located on the northern coast, and very well known for its beach "La Concha". Tradition and modernity go hand in hand in this "small" big city with touches of the Belle Epoque (Golden Age) that has a first-class cultural agenda with its international film and jazz festivals. More than that, San Sebastian is the world capital of the "pintxo". Gastronomy rivals nature as the most attractive feature of this city that is world famous for its cuisine and chefs, and boasts 16 Michelin stars.
San Sebastian´s Kursaal Congress Centre is an amazing architectural work by Rafael Moneo facing the Bay of Biscay, it is a modern building formed by two translucent glass cubes that almost touch the sea. From the Kursaal, one can easily access emblematic places of this city on foot: the Old Town and La Concha Bay, as well as the commercial areas.
We are pleased to welcome you to this wonderful location for the second IPAC.
