Abstract Submission Instructions
The oral/poster presentation will be included by the author in one of the following sections:
1.Language and languages: Linguistic theory and grammatical studies.
2.Tipology and comparative linguistics.
3.Language and the brain. Language and cognition.
4.Language and communication. Language and society.
5.Language technologies and applied Linguistics.
6.Language and History: Historical linguistics and linguistic Historiography
Authors have to choose among the following sections where they wish their abstracts for oral/poster presentations to be included.
Click HERE to see and download the sample abstract (Template) to your computer. Once completed, the abstract must be saved as a .doc file to be submitted.

Abstract Submission
Use the ABSTRACT SUBMISSION SYSTEM to submit your abstract.
Authors will receive an automatic confirmation message once their abstracts have been correctly uploaded and the procedure finalised. Notification of Acceptance/Rejection will be sent by e-mail before 15th February 2012.
Deadline for abstract submission: 10th December 2011
?All participants willing to participate with an oral presentation and/or poster at the conference must submit an abstract to be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.
?Abstracts must be submitted on line.
?No abstracts will be included in the Academic Programme if the presenting author is not registered by 15th March 2012.
?Please note that only ONE contribution is allowed for each registered person as single author, or alternatively, TWO contributions as co-author.
?Please note that the online abstract submission form will not be available after the deadline; therefore, no late submissions will be allowed.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
Oral presentations are allotted 20 minutes each followed by a 10-minute question period.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
Participants are requested to design posters with the following dimension:
?Maximum poster height: 120 cm
?Maximum poster width: 90 cm
Each poster will be given a unique number which correspond to the poster panel.
As in previous editions of the Conference on General Linguistics, there is no official language for oral presentations. There will not be interpreting services.
