ICCP 2012 - The 16th International Conference on Clouds and Precipitation
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 16th International Conference on Clouds and Precipitation organized by the International Commission on Clouds and Precipitation (ICCP) will be held July 30th - August 3rd, 2012 at the Lecture Hall in Leipzig, Germany.
Papers are solicited on theoretical, observational and numerical modeling studies of cloud and precipitation physics, cloud chemistry and cloud dynamics. The preliminary program includes sessions on:
Basic cloud and precipitation physics
Warm boundary layer clouds
Convective clouds (including cloud electrification)
Mixed phase clouds (including Arctic stratus, mid-level clouds)
Cirrus clouds
Orographic clouds
Mesoscale cloud systems (including severe storms)
Aerosol-cloud-precipitation-interactions
Clouds and climate (including radiative properties of clouds)
Ice nuclei and cloud condensation nuclei
Cloud and precipitation chemistry
Measurement techniques of cloud and precipitation properties
Applications of cloud and precipitation physics
Abstracts should be submitted online by December 15th, 2011 (short abstract: up to 250 words), indicating a preference for a session. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified via e-mail by March 15th, 2012.
A submission fee of 50 EUR is solicited upon submission of the short abstract. This fee will be considered towards the total registration fee for the conference, but only one fee will be credited per each registered participant, in the event that one registrant submits more than one paper. If the abstract is not accepted, this fee will be refunded.
Authors of invited and accepted papers will be asked to contribute to a Conference Proceedings volume that will be issued in a CD-ROM. All extended abstracts are to be submitted electronically. Instructions for formatting extended manuscripts for the preprint CD-ROM will be posted on this site.
