The 2011 Workshop on Integration and Application of Cloud Computing to High
Performance Computing (HPCCloud)
In conjunction with the 3th IEEE international conference on cloud computing
technology and science (IEEE CloudCom 2011)
Call for papers:
Important Dates:
Paper Submissions: August 28, 2011
Notification: September 21, 2011
This workshop aims to create a forum to explore and generate ideas in further developing
super computer architectures, algorithms, configurations, and any other important issues
across the boundaries of software engineering, distributed computing, cloud computing,
and grid computing.
Key research problems include improving programmability of future parallel
(multicore/multichip) computing systems, providing efficient execution and prtable
performance of codes on a large variety of platforms, efficient and ubiquitous use of
virtualization for heterogeneous multi-cores, accelerating system development and
production, reducing products’ time-to-market.
We invite original papers that present: research results, ideas and opinions, experience
and lessons learnt related to Cloud and High Performance Computing.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
? Super Computer Architectures
? Computation- and Data-intensive Algorithms
? Application of HPC in Cloud Computing and the Opposite
? Programming Models, Languages and Runtime Systems
? Hardware Building Blocks
? Performance and Efficiency Evaluation Results and Methods
? Hybrid HPC and CC Applications and Services
Workshop Organisers:
Chunming Rong, University of Stavanger, Norway
Tomasz Wiktor Wlodarczyk, University of Stavanger, Norway
Paper submission instructions:
This workshop will only accept for review original papers that have not been previously
published. Papers should be formatted based on the IEEE Transactions journals and conferences style; maximum allowed camera-ready paper length is six (6) pages.
Submissions must be in Adobe PDF format, including text, figures and references.
Accepted papers will be published in the Cloudom2011 proceedings, for further
information see IEEE CloudCom 2011 web page http://2011.cloudcom.org/.
