WORKSHOPS

RiMCET - Emerging Technologies in Rich Media Communications

The RiMCET workshop covers Applications and Services of IPTV and Rich
Media Content Delivery. The emerging applications such as Next gen TV,
Virtual Internet, interactive Games, Enterprise collaboration, Health
Services, etc. benefit from rich multi-media content in an effective
way. This workshop will provide a forum for researcher and system
engineers, to share knowledge and innovations emerging in the
networking and service delivery architectures for driving the next
generation Rich media services.

WISARD - WIreless Systems: Advanced Research and Development

The Wisard workshop covers the area of wireless network systems,
services, and applications. It focuses on the MAC layer issues (802.11
series), cross-layer techniques between physical, MAC, and network
layers, power management techniques, sensor networks, and mobility and
location management. This workshop will be useful for wireless network
practitioners and engineers working in industries, universities, and
corporate offices.

IAMCOM - Intelligent Networks: Adaptation, Communication & Reconfiguration

The IAMCOM workshop covers the area of intelligent networking in
contemporary settings to enable QoS adaptations and rich communications.
Unlike the intelligent networks of the 1990's which focused exclusively
on telecom network signaling, this workshop recasts the intelligent
networking as a holistic approach to the design of distributed networked
systems by considering the cross-layer interactions between the various
units of a network system. A wide range of application areas benefit
from the use of intelligent techniques: QoS in data netwoks, automotive
systems control, geo-spatial resource management, and emergency-response
networks.

NGIntW - Next Generation Internetworking

The NextGen Internet workshop focuses on where the current internet
communication protocols are today and how they should change to
accommodate the growth of internet users in the next decade. It
offers a forum for discussing a wide range of topics: from the
classical internet models to the Future Internet architecures
(such as the Geni in USA and other European efforts). Topics that
are of covered are voice over IP, IPv4 vs IPv6, bandwidth management,
and the next generation architectures. The Internet designers and
managers will find this workshop quite useful.

WIPCom - Wireless IP Communication: Technologies, Network & Mobility
Architectures, Applications and Trends

Recent advances in wireless technologies, including the emergence of
3G/4G, fixed mobile convergence, rich media (web 2.0) applications and
femto/pico cells, are bringing about new paradigms of mobile
communication. This workshop aims to address new and work in progress
in technologies, architectures, applications and trends in wireless
mobile communication. The workshop will feature regular papers,
posters and invited talks.
