OVERVIEW
Companies without a strategic plan have all of a sudden found themselves with dispersed and remote/virtual employees yet they have not taken the time to build the policy and procedures structure that will keep their situation sustainable. What laws do they need to consider? What new or revised polices need to be created?
This class will dive into policies that companies need to have in place NOW if they have remote/virtual/telework employees. We will examine how companies can mitigate their liability with DOL, EEOC, and OSHA by being proactive with their policies and procedures.
Participants will be exposed to an interactive presentation which will help them discover the gaps in their own policies and whether they need to revise or create new policies. As a bonus, attendees will receive two checklists to help them define their own program – the Remote Teams Policies Checklist and the Remote Worker Agreement Checklist.cc
