The 3rd International Workshop on Automation Technologies (WAT 2021) will be held in Macau SAR, China(Branch Venue: Shanghai, China) during Dec. 16-18, 2021, which is co-organized by University of Macau and Asia Pacific Institute of Science and Engineering(APISE), supported by Auckland University of Technology, technical sponsored by IEEE Control System Society and media supported by Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization.The workshop will serve as an international forum for the presentation and exchange of technological advances and research results in the broad fields of Automation.We warmly welcome prospective authors to submit research papers to WAT 2021, and share your latest research results and valuable experiences with other top-scientists, engineers and scholars from all over the world.
●Publication and Indexing
Accepted and presented papers will be published into conference proceedings (ISBN: 978-1-6654-4041-7). The conference proceedings will be included in Conference Proceeding of CEECT 2021 and indexed by EI Compendex, Scopus, CPCI and other databases.( WAT 2021 is the workshop of CEECT 2021)
Selected papers with great extension will be recommended to publish in: Journals-Global Energy Interconnection.

Prof. Iven Mareels, IBM Research Australia Melbourne Research Laboratory, Melbourne, Australia
Prof. Iven became lab director of IBM Research Australia in February 2018. The lab (in Melbourne) focuses on artificial (augmented) intelligence, blockchain and quantum computing applied to health, financial services, and government sectors. He has published extensively (more than 500 peer reviewed publications, including five books). he is a co-inventor on a suite of 32 international patents, with another 2 in submission. he have supervised more than 50 graduate students. At present he is supervising another five PhD students at the University of melbourne.
Prof. Frede Blaabjerg, Aalborg Universitet, Denmark, Vice-President of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences
His current research interests include power electronics and its applications such as in wind turbines, PV systems, reliability, harmonics and adjustable speed drives. He has published more than 600 journal papers in the fields of power electronics and its applications. He is the co-author of four monographs and editor of ten books in power electronics and its applications.
Prof. Arindam Ghosh, Curtin University, Australia
Fellow IEEE, Fellow INAE, IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer, Arindam Ghosh's main area of research of Professor Ghosh is on the application of power electronics and its control in power transmission and distribution systems. He has expertise in the areas of HVDC and FACTS, Custom Power Devices, Distributed Generation integration in electric grid, Microgrid and Smart Grid. He has written 2 books, 1 IEEE report, 7 book chapters, over 150 journal papers and over 250 peer reviewed conference papers. He has supervised around 80 research students at Masters and Doctoral levels.
Prof. Surya Santoso, The University of Texas at Austin, USA
IEEE Fellow, Dr. Surya Santoso is a Professor and holds the Engineering Foundation Centennial Teaching Fellowship in Electrical Engineering No. 2 in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. His research interests lie in the broad area of transmission and distribution systems, modeling and simulation, and automated root-cause analysis of power quality disturbances.
Prof. Wendong Xiao, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China
Senior Member of the IEEE, Wendong Xiao is currently a Professor with the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing, P. R. China. His current research focuses on wireless localization and tracking, energy harvesting based network resource management, wearable computing for healthcare, big data processing, wireless sensor networks and internet of things.
Prof. Yulong Wang, Shanghai University, China
Yulong Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the school of mechanical engineering, Shanghai University, and a distinguished professor of "Oriental Scholars" in Shanghai. He has presided over 1 national key R & D project and 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, participated in and presided over more than 20 major projects of "new generation artificial intelligence" of the Ministry of science and technology, key projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Shanghai Natural Science Foundation projects, and served as the discipline leader of control theory and control engineering of the Institute.
Prof. Farhad Shahnia, Murdoch University, Australia
Fellow of Engineers Australia, Senior Member of IEEE, member of the Australasian Association for Engineering Education. Farhad’s research falls under Distribution networks, Microgrid and Smart grid concepts. He has authored one book and 11 book chapters and 100+ peer-reviewed scholarly articles in international conferences and journals, as well as being an editor of 6 books.
