Overview
This program will help employees and supervisors support the employer's workplace violence prevention policy in support of the OSHA Duty to Warn Clause. Managing assumptions will be important in managing risks and preventing escalation of acts and behaviors that may lead to workplace related and personal conflict and confrontations that may ultimately lead to discipline and separation.
This webinar is designed to expose the attendee to essential rudimentary information critical to their ability to make sound decisions and choices in avoiding assumptions based by rationalizing their observations. Ultimately, the intent is to create a base of knowledge that will enhance the importance of reporting so that management may be in a proactive position to hastily address the reported observations and monitor the reported behaviors.
Avoiding employee rationalization of what they see will help minimize the lag time and delay in reporting until it's too late. All too often the employee who transitions to the hostile armed intruder threat called "active shooter' makes the decision, he's gone through his own process. The employee/student threat can be prevented if those who make the observations do not rationalize the observations and reports it immediately. Withholding the observation will expose others to both physical harm and psychological trauma.
This webinar hopes to address the importance of creating fundamental appreciation for prevention of violence through situational awareness.
