OVERVIEW
Bribery damages lives. Yet in many countries, bribery is a regular or even accepted business practice.
The direct victims of bribery include businesses that lose out unfairly because of corrupt practices. These businesses however, are not the only victims. On a wider scale losers are the government and the greater society, both of whom are severely destabilized by the weakened rule of law and damage caused to economic and social development.
This webinar is a review of United States enforcement of the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as well as a look at the what the rest of the world is doing to combat this (thorough the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention and the United Kingdom’s Anti Bribery Act).
Anti-bribery and anti-corruption compliance is an essential corporate objective in today’s corporate governance environment, which must constantly adapt to meet the challenges of new risks.
