REDW 2011 - 2011 IEEE Radiation Effects Data Workshop
Topics/Call fo Papers
Congratulations on the acceptance of your summary for presentation at the 2011 IEEE Radiation Effects Data Workshop. I look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas, Nevada and working with you as we take your contribution through presentation at the Workshop and the publication process for the Workshop Record.
This letter will discuss several issues relevant to the Workshop and the Workshop Record. Let's start with the REDW publication schedule.
REDW-2011 Publication Schedule
http://www.nsrec.com/redw2011
Submit draft paper (prior to the conference):
Before July 21
Submit Final Paper and Copyright Form:
Before August 6
Poster assembly, Valencia Ballrooom Tues morning, July 26
Attend REDW session, Valencia Ballrooom
2:50 ? 5:00 PM, Wednesday, July 27
Poster Teardown: By noon, Friday, July 29
Posters not taken down by close of business Friday will be discarded, as we will need to return the poster boards.
The formatting instructions for your poster presentation are provided on the NSREC website. Please adhere closely to these requirements.
As you probably know, there will be no further peer review of the final printed copy of your REDW paper. However, I will review each Workshop paper for editorial correctness before submission to IEEE for publication. Technical content is not the primary consideration for this review. I will work with the individual authors in case changes are needed. These changes will need crisp execution because of the tight publication deadline.
For the purpose of editorial review, you may submit the draft paper to me via email. The softcopy paper may be in Microsoft Word (or something readable by Word) or Adobe pdf. The draft must be formatted in the final state for this submission. Please use the template at http://www.nsrec.com/redw2011/REDWtemplate.doc as your style guide. The template also contains information about the submission process. All figures are to be inserted in the paper prior to submission of the draft. This is a simple editing step to provide grammatical and/or other editorial feedback. The page limit for REDW documents is eight (8) pages. You may request more pages if you have significant data to provide or another compelling reason. There is no requirement to use all the pages, so shorter papers are also welcome. The graphics must be embedded as described in the template.
I would like to have your draft submissions as soon as possible, but no later than July 21, 2011. Please send your draft submission to Craig Hafer at your earliest convenience via email to Craig.Hafer-AT-Aeroflex.com.
Your final paper is due August 6, 2011. The IEEE will setup a web site for online submission of your final paper for inclusion the REDW Record publication. The link to the web site will be available soon, please check back for updates. Do not submit your final paper until the draft version has been reviewed and approved by me. Please note you are also required to complete an IEEE copyright form. This form must included with your final paper.
Please feel free to give me a call or send an email if you have questions.
All email correspondence should include the text "REDW2011 Paper" in the subject section, so my email "spam filters" will recognize it as relating to the workshop.
Best regards,
Craig Hafer
