The International Workshop on Human Interaction with Ubiquitous, Pervasive, and IoT Systems (HIUP-IoTS’2021)
Warsaw, Poland
March 23 - 26, 2021
http://www.zu-iml.org/cfp/HIUP-IoTS.html
To be held in conjunction with The 12th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (ANT’2021)
Important Dates:
• Paper Submission: November 1, 2020
• Acceptance Notification: December 30, 2020
• Final Manuscript Due: January 27, 2021
Scope:
The advance in computing technologies, wireless communication, cloud technologies, and the countless types of sensor devices on the market, have been the driving force behind the emergence of ubiquitous, pervasive, cyber physical and ambient intelligent systems. We are witnessing an myriad of applications both from researchers in academia and industry in a wide range of fields such as smart cities, smart homes, smart health, industry automation, connected smart cars, fitness, smart transportation, etc. Lots of efforts have been put in the development technologies of such systems. Recently, several research studies have highlighted that the involvement of human in the development of such systems may improve the user experience, increase user satisfaction, and user trust in the systems. Therefore, the design for human interaction with all these systems and applications, and usability testing are essential part of the development process of such systems.
This workshop is an open forum for HCI, design and engineering researchers from both industry and academia. It aims to explore the frontiers of the HCI and user experiences as well as the latest interaction devices supporting the next generations of human interaction in the cyber-physical including ubiquitous, pervasive, and IoT applications.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Interaction design methods
• UX design patterns
• Innovative testing methods
• Industry applications
• Research studies and surveys on HCI for IoT
• Open innovation and design
• HCI educational implications
• New interaction styles such natural user interfaces
