WUDESHI-DR 2020 - Workshop on User Decision Support and Human Interaction in Digital Retail - WUDESHI-DR 2020
Topics/Call fo Papers
SCOPE
Digitalisation is transforming the retail industry into “Digital Retail”, a combination of physical retailing and digital technologies. At the same time, omnichannel customer journey, described as the simultaneous use of various channels by customers, emerged as a new phenomenon caused by changes in consumer behaviour.
Human-Computer Interaction brings a user-centric perspective into needs for utilizing computer/digital technologies, and for shaping those towards positive and engaging experiences.
Shaping these technologies for customer needs and enriching shopping experiences is essential, also fulfilling retailer requirements. The intersection of HCI and Digital Retail can bridge the gap for enabling and designing omnichannel and convenient shopping experiences to consumers and retailers equally.
