2020 - IEEE International Workshop on Network Function Virtualization, SDN, and Edge Computing
Topics/Call fo Papers
Collocated with IEEE HPSR 2020, this workshop aims to provide a friendly and open environment to practitioners, academicians, and scientist for dissemination, discussion, and exchange of ideas on different topics of Software Defined Networking, Network Function Virtualization, and Edge Computing, including applications and challenges. The workshop welcomes original in-depth technical studies and discussions within the scope of the workshop, where position papers that propose new paradigms are encouraged. Papers about disruptive concepts and mind-challenging concepts are particularly welcome.
Accepted and presented papers will be included in the IEEE Xplore digital library and workshop proceedings and considered for HPSR Best Paper Award.
Also, accepted and presented papers first authored by a student will be considered for HPSR Best Student Paper Award.
The workshop seeks original manuscripts within the scope of the workshop, not limited to:
• Design and Evaluation of Software Defined Networking (SDN) Architectures and Networks
• Design and Evaluation of Energy Efficient Networks and Services
• Design and Evaluation of Content Distribution Networks (CDNs)
• Security in SDN and controllers
• Security Management
• Fault Tolerance and Reliability in SDNs and CDNs
• Network Functions Virtualization (NFV)
• Scalable architecture design and implementation
• Service Function Chaining
• Orchestration and Integration
• Support of 5G Network
• Hardware-SDN co-design
• Mist, Fog, and Cloud Computing
• Data Centers and Cloud
• AI, Machine and Deep Learning on SDN-NFV
• Network Automation
• Resource Allocation
• Edge Computing
• SDN on Edge Computing
• Edge Computing Connectivity and Architectures
