Scope

It is well known that the a revolution in telecommunications has taken place within recent years. The use of wireless communications has expanded dramatically worldwide. Cell phones are ubiquitous. Although most such mobile terminals still carry voice principally, more and more users are sending and receiving data and image applications. Wi-Fi, an example of a wireless local Area Network
(LAN), has caught on spectacularly, joining the major cellular networks deployed throughout the world. The wireless communication today covers a very wide array of applications.
The telecommunications industry is one of the largest industries
worldwide. Wireless communications, together with it's applications underlying technologies,is among today's most active areas of technology development. The very rapid pace of improvements in both custom and programmable integrated circuits for signal processing as a key enabler of aggressively escalating capacity demands of merging
wireless systems. Consequently, there has been a tremendous and very
widespread effort on the part of the research community to develop novel signal processing techniques that can be fulfill this promise.
Wireless communications is one of the most active areas of echnology
development of our time. This development is being driven primarily by transformation of what has been largely a medium for supporting voice telephony into a medium for supporting other services, such as the transformation of video images, text, and data. The demands for new wireless capacity is growing at a very rapid pace.
A key aspect of the wireless communication development is the novel
signal transmission techniques and advanced receiver signal processing methods that allow for significant increase in wireless capacity

Final manuscript due: August 10, 2009

Paper Submission

Submitted papers must represent original material that is not currently under review in any other conference or journal, and has not been previously published.
Paper length should not exceed five-page technical paper manuscript. Please see author information page for submission guidelines at WiMob 2009 website http://conferences.computer.org/wimob2009/Workshop...). Papers should be submitted in a PDF format through EDAS.
Submissions should include a cover page with authors' names, affiliations, fax and telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. At least one author of accepted papers is required to register
at the full registration rate.
