OpComp 2011 - 2011 Optical Computing Forum
Topics/Call fo Papers
OpComp is a technical forum that brings together academia, research & development, and application developers to one place to discuss optical computing technologies for critical embedded computing systems.
http://www.op-comp.com/
Optical computing technology is rapidly evolving and new possibilities are emerging each month. Keeping up with all this innovation and being able to compare the options are a primary focus of OpComp. If you want to have a intense immersion into the technology and applications, OpComp is the place to go.
There is a pressing need for higher density, higher performing interconnect technologies to meet the speeds of 10 gigabit serial channels and higher that will be used in next generation critical embedded computing systems. As the transfer rates continue to increase, it is clear that optical technology offers many advantages. OpComp brings all these technologies together so that architects and designers of critical embedded computing systems can evaluate and compare optical technology.
See and understand the latest optical technologies for fiber-connected elements (box-to-box and board-to-board) as well as the new technologies for polymer reflective optical waveguides embedded in the PCB material (board-to-board connections through a backplane). View the latest integrated optical silicon that integrates the lasers/detectors, transition circuitry (photon-to-electron and vice versa), and digital copper interfaces to the processor or memory.
Target Audience
System architects, system designers, hardware designers, manufacturing and test engineers, product strategists, corporate and private investors, senior corporate managers, government research organizations, and members of the media.
