WISE is one of the major international meetings for researchers interested in ocean waves in the coastal and open ocean environment. Its aim is to promote the investigation of the physical processes and interactions that control the evolution of wind waves in deep and shallow water, their implementation in numerical models and application for practical long- and short- term hind- and forecast.
γ
The hosting organizations will be the First Institute of Oceanography (FIO), State Oceanic Administration(SOA), and Ocean University of China (OUC). The local hosts will be Fangli Qiao, who is Deputy Director General of FIO, and Changlong Guan, the Dean of Ocean Environments, OUC .
