Terminations: How to Minimize Chances of Being Sued
Why Should you Attend
Businesses reach a point that they need someone to handle their HR functions. However many businesses hire a HR person before they really need one. Trying to find a HR person to fit into a small budget can recruit unqualified persons.
Businesses with existing HR personnel can also experience long-term absences in their HR department due to leaves or vacancies that seriously affect day-to-day functions. Someone may have to fill in and a business does not want just anyone handling the delicate business of HR.
However, there is nothing requiring a business to employ a dedicated HR person. A well-trained manager from the operational side generally makes a better fill in HR person, or to handle HR for a small business than a person with no HR or business experience.
Who will Benefit
Non-HR persons
New HR persons
Businesses of up to 100 employees with no HR person or
Business or larger businesses with a vacancy in their HR department
Overview
This webinar is intended for employees from outside of a HR role who need to understand the basics of HR to either handle HR functions, fill in for HR or for manager employees. Because in today's workplaces, everyone who runs a business, manages employees or even leads a team is in the business of HR. This webinar will cover how to meet the basic requirements of running HR from a non-HR person's standpoint. Whether you are new to HR, a non-HR person handling HR functions or a small business owner, this webinar will cover HR basics that every employer (and manager) needs to know.
We will review best practices with regards to Hiring, Managing and Terminating employees. This webinar provides practical knowledge to enable non-HR professionals and managers to tackle HR issues with confidence. We will also cover the Dos and Don'ts of the basic regs that affect HR functions. Most of which are easy to run afoul of, but as such can be avoided with knowledge.
