EmSeNs 2012 - 2nd International Workshop on Emerging Topics on Sensor Networks (EmSens 2012)
Topics/Call fo Papers
2nd International Workshop on Emerging Topics on Sensor Networks (EmSens 2012)
Held in conjunction with ANT 2012, August 27 - 29, Niagara Falls, ON, Canada
https://sites.google.com/site/emsens2012/
Wsorkshop Scope
Although wireless sensor networks (WSN) have gained maturity both in experimental and industrial applications over the past decade, new research directions continue to be explored. Many open issues remain. Recently, methods from game theory, computational intelligence, and other fields have been applied to WSN.
The aim of this Workshop is to bring together researchers from academia and industry to discuss key challenges, and emerging trends and opportunities in all aspects WSN technology. We welcome conceptual work, as well as insights gained from real-world experiments and applications.
Topics of interests include but are not limited to:
Emerging technologies, protocols, applications, algorithms, and implementations for:
Cognitive radio for sensor networks
Energy optimization
Wireless sensor network security
Intelligent sensing applications
Bayesian network applications in sensor networks
Body area sensor networks
Underwater sensor networks
Multimedia sensor networks
Sensor integration techniques
Vehicular sensor networks
Delay tolerance in sensor networks
Publication:
Only original papers that have neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere, including web publication, will be considered. All submissions will be handled electronically. The length of the paper is limited to 6 pages. All papers will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
Accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings published by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series (on-line and CD). Procedia Computer Sciences is hosted on www.Elsevier.com and on Elsevier content platform ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com), and will be freely available worldwide. All papers in Procedia will also be indexed by Scopus (www.scopus.com) and Engineering Village (Ei) (www.engineeringvillage.com).
This includes EI Compendex (www.ei.org/compendex). The papers will contain linked references, XML versions and citable DOI numbers. You will be able to provide a hyperlink to all delegates and direct your conference website visitors to your proceedings.
