SummerSchool 2011 - First International Summer School on Cognitive Wireless Communications
Topics/Call fo Papers
The objectives of this 4-days Summer School are to educate participants in the fundamentals of cognitive communications, cognitive radio and networks and its application in the design of modern wireless communication systems, offer an intense learning experience, and facilitate the acquisition of both theoretical concepts and experimental practice.
We hope to acquaint participants with basic knowledge of cognitive communications and to apply these concepts in laboratory sessions during which the trainees will be able to practice with OpenAirInterface, an open-source hardware/software development platform and open-forum for innovation in the area of digital communications, created by the Mobile Communications Department at EURECOM, France. Laboratory demonstrations and exposure to experimental design tools will be provided in addition to introductory and advanced tutorials.
The summer school is expected to be particularly appealing to:
?Graduate students who want to learn cognitive wireless communications or want to get a different perspective to their research problems from what they have already learned;
?Engineering faculty and post-doc researchers who wish to expand their research horizons;
?Engineers and researchers in the industry who want to learn basic cognitive radio communication principles and receive basic experimental training.
