Agile Portugal 2011
Call for Speakers
Agile Portugal is the premier international conference in Portugal about
Agile Software Development and its practices, technologies, attitudes and
experiences. Created with both experts and beginners in mind, Agile Portugal
is the place where the Portuguese Agile community comes together to exchange
and share their experiences about Agile development approaches.
This second edition will take place on 20-22 June, in Porto, Portugal.
Right before the city's greatest festivities (S. João), the conference
will be a superb backdrop for innovation, discussion and networking with
other national and international agilists, bringing together well-known
thought leaders, practitioners, and trainers.

Submissions
We want Agile Portugal to be an inclusive event for all agile practitioners
and enthusiasts, whether coming from small or large institutions, companies,
or academia.
We encourage you to report and share your experience on a topic of your
expertise, by submitting a high-quality proposal for one of the following
types of sessions:
* Talks - 20min presentations (+5 min questions) about a topic of your
expertise;
* Lightning talks - 5min presentation, inspiring and innovative;
* Posters - an idea, tool, or research work presented informally and
interactively.
Talks
We are looking for proposals of 20min talks, about exciting ideas, research
projects, experience reports, or lessons learned, from experienced speakers
on the relevant topics for the audience of the conference.
Lightning talks
If you have something to share about agility to the other participants of
the conference (ideas, fears, questions, concerns, etc), you are encouraged
to submit a 5min presentation, engage others to follow you, and get
immediate feedback about it.
Posters
This year's edition will feature a poster track, aimed at presenting in an
informal and interactive setting an ongoing or concluded work, be it a tool,
prototype, idea, or research. This work does not need to be complete, but
should have enough substance to be reviewed.
Open Space
In addition to the scheduled sessions, Open Space sessions will take place
throughout all the conference, providing a live and flexible place to share
questions, talk to the experts, demonstrate software and techniques, and
experiment with Agile practices and ideas. Its schedule will be defined
during the conference, by you and the other participants, and will be
continuously evolved as new topics emerge during the event.
Speaker compensation
Accepted * talks * and * posters * will be granted * free admission to both
days * of the event. Accepted * lightning-talks * will receive an exclusive
Agile Portugal gift.
How to submit
Submit a one-page abstract (400 words maximum!) To the program
committee by * April 24th *. You will receive a notification by May 7th,
inviting you to develop the final version to be presented at the
