DEIT 2012 aims to bring together researchers and scientists from academia, industry, and government laboratories to present new results and identify future research directions in data engineering and internet technology.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
● Computational algorithms/tools: data mining, data integration, platforms, middleware
● Database management and database technologies
● Intelligent information systems: artificial intelligence, expert systems, embedded systems
● Data engineering applications: healthcare, financial systems
● Internet Infornomics: e-Learning, e-Commerce, e-Business, e-Government, e-society
● Internet security: biometrics, boundary issues, broadband access technologies
● Internet data management: case studies, monitoring and analysis, digital libraries
● Web search, crawling, data grids, cloud computing, web-based application
● Other topics: mobile/wireless computing, parallel and distributed computing, etc.
Located on the northwest coast of Java, Jakarta is the 12th-largest city in the world and its metropolitan area, Jabodetabek, is the 2nd largest in the world. Places of interest include National Monument, the Presidential palace, nightlife entertainment centers, Blok M, Beautiful Thousand Islands, Ancol Bayfront City, and Kelapa Gading shopping centers. Jakarta makes an excellent base for those looking to make a brief foray deeper into Java (e.g., Borobudur and Prambanan temples, UNESCO World Heritage Sites) or even the splendid neighbouring island of Bali.
