Technology-Mediated Approach for Facilitating Industrial-Academic Collaboration for Design, Arts and Culture
The first International Conference on Interdisciplinary Design and Industrial-Academic Collaboration (ICIDIC) was organized in 2008 by the Design College of Shu-Te University, Taiwan. It aimed to encourage interdisciplinary design and industrial-academic collaboration in the arts, humanities and design. Interdisciplinary design seeks to explore a diverse range of design concerns from an interdisciplinary approach. It covers a wide area, including visual communication and illustration, product, spatial and interaction design, architecture, multi-media, games & animation, performance and new spaces.
In 2017, the programme is committed to the cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas and skills for the purpose of industrial-academic collaboration, encouraging artistic collaboration, government and faculty research and curricular innovation.
