He Nursing Unit of ATINER organizes a Stream on “Mental Health: Innovation in Practice and Education” as part of the 4thAnnual International Conference on Nursing, 7-10 May 2018, Athens, Greece sponsored by the Athens Journal of Health.
Mental Health innovation is the key to ensuring service users receive care that is optimal, appropriate and recovery focused. Therefore it is imperative to understand our service user’s needs and the shift in the social, psychological and physical environment. How does this affect the individual? How do we as mental health nurses respond to this in innovatively and effectively?
The link from theory to practice is vital, this conduit works both ways. Therefore sharing of innovative nursing will undoubtedly move the profession forward in dynamic and interesting avenues having the service users’ needs central to all development.
This stream will share new ways of working whether they are developmental, new ideas or successful new ways of working from both academic and clinical areas.
As Mental Health professionals this is an opportunity to come together and discuss all that is innovative in the care of service users, share ideas, make links with others to support further development and celebrate the work that colleagues around the world deliver as mental health professionals.
Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycanae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, an one-day visit to Delphi and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit.
