As part of
The International Conference on High Performance Computing & Simulation (HPCS 2016)
http://hpcs2016.cisedu.info
July 18 ? July 22, 2016
The University of Innsbruck
Innsbruck, Austria
Submission Deadline: March 7, 2016
Submissions could be for full papers, short papers, poster papers, or posters
SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
Large parallel systems have become mainstream of both commercial and scientific computing. Shared-memory systems with hundreds of processors are commercially available, while a new generation of massively parallel systems have pushed the limits of scalability to unprecedented levels. Designing and understanding these systems requires new simulation and modeling approaches that can be effective at those scales. New software- and hardware-based simulation techniques have been developed to cope with those challenges.
The goal of this workshop is to promote the discussion and presentation of new research and development in the area of simulation and modeling of large parallel systems. We encourage original contributions from work on the following areas:
MSPS Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to the following areas:
? Parallel Simulators
? Hardware accelerators for simulating parallel systems
? Bootstraping: Using a current generation system to design the next generation
? Modeling and simulation at the data centers level
? Use of reconfigurable logic for simulation of parallel systems
? Machine learning for developing models of parallel systems
? New and novel approaches to modeling and simulation of large and complex systems
? Evaluation Methods and Studies
PAPER SUBMISSIONS
You are invited to submit original and unpublished research papers on the above and other topics related to modeling and simulation of high performance parallel computing systems. Submitted papers must not have been published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Submission should include a cover page with authors' names, affiliation addresses, fax numbers, phone numbers, and authors email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the corresponding author and include up to 6 keywords from the above list of topics and an abstract of no more than 400 words. The full manuscript should be at most 8 pages using the two-column IEEE format. Additional pages will be charged at additional fee. Short papers (up to 4 pages), poster papers and posters (please refer to http://hpcs2015.cisedu.info/home/cts-2015-posters for the posters submission details) will also be accepted for submission. In case of multiple authors, an indication of which author(s) is responsible for correspondence must be indicated. Please include page numbers on all submissions to make it easier for reviewers to provide helpful comments.
Submit a PDF copy of your full manuscript using the Workshop Easy Chair link at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=msps2015 . Acknowledgement will be sent within 48 hours of submission. If the submission is for a poster paper or short paper, indicate that as well on the manuscript and in the form's Comments field.
Only PDF files will be accepted. Each paper will receive a minimum of three reviews. Papers will be selected based on their originality, relevance, contributions, technical clarity and presentation. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper, if accepted. Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their papers will be registered and presented at the special session.
Proceedings
Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Instructions for final manuscript format and requirements will be posted on the HPCS 2015 web site. It is our intent to have the proceedings formally published in hard and soft copies and be available at the time of the conference. The proceedings is to be published as ISBN proceedings by the IEEE and will be available online through IEEE Digital Library and indexed by major indexing services accordingly (e.g., EI indexing).
If you have any questions about paper submission or the special session, please contact the Workshop organizers.
