The Education Unit of ATINER will hold A Stream on “Creative Drama in Education”, 21-24 May 2018, Athens, Greece as part of the 20th Annual International Conference on Education, 21-24 May 2018, Athens, Greece sponsored by the Athens Journal of Education.
Creative drama practices involve active ways of learning and teaching such as learning by doing, playing, experiencing, discovering, socializing and learning through movement (Ozturk, 2001). The focus of this stream will be a reflection of practices and challenges of applying creative methods and particularly creative drama in the classroom, while teaching not only social sciences but also applied sciences. The stream is open but not limited to, academicians, teachers and researchers who are using creative drama practices with young adults and adults. You may participate as presenter of one paper, chair or/and organizer of a session, or observer.

Special arrangements will be made with a local hotel for a limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a number of special events will be organized: A pragmatic symposium (as organized in Ancient Athens but fine tuned to synchronous ethics), a special one-day educational island tour, a Mycanae and island of Poros visit, an Athens educational walking tour, an one-day visit to Delphi and an ancient Corinth and Cape Sounion visit. Please submit an abstract (email only) to: atiner-AT-atiner.gr, using the abstract submission form by the 9 April 2018 to: Dr. Elif Bengu, Academic Member, ATINER & Assistant Professor, Faculty of Educational Science, Abdullah Gül University, Turkey. Abstracts should include the following: Title of Paper, Full Name (s), Affiliation, Current Position, an email address, and at least 3 keywords that best describe the subject of your submission. Decisions are reached within 4 weeks.
