Increasingly computing services are being tailored to meet individual needs using modern computing applications that are context-aware. Early context-aware systems largely focused on location based services but context encompasses emotional, social, cultural and economic needs. The rise of wearable technology with the Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud of Things (CoT) has resulted in the generation of a vast amount of data. Data alone has limited value; only when identified, selected, and processed into information usable to users can the data be viewed as useful in applications and systems.
Context ?awareness is predicated on contextual information. Context is being used in an increasingly diverse and broad range of domains; therefore context is becoming increasingly complex and the systems needed to capture, model, analyse and present context must accommodate this complexity while implementing constraint satisfaction and preference compliance.
The aim of the workshop is to present topical and innovative research utilizing intelligent context-aware systems and technologies to address theoretical and practical issues in a diverse and heterogeneous range of application domains. This workshop provides a forum for engineers, researchers, and scientists to exchange the latest results of research addressing Intelligent Context-Aware Systems. The workshop will seek original contributions in all relevant areas addressing the fundamentals and developments in intelligent context and its use in context-aware systems including (but not limited to) the following topics:
Topics of Interest:?
Adaptive context-aware security systems including application awareness, id awareness, encryption, computational forensics and content awareness.
Semantic context modeling including integration of emotional response in context-aware systems using cognitive conceptual models, Semiotics and Kansei engineering .
Semantic web Research addressing the Internet of Things, Cloud of Things and Cloud-based solution using intelligent context including models and frameworks for representing and developing context-aware applications including Ontology and Ontology-Based Context Modelling
AI systems and algorithms for processing and inferring context and conflict resolution for detecting multiple contradicting contexts
Information Retrieval methods for searching, matching and evaluating context
Distributed Ontologies in Cloud-based systems and distributed systems
Data mining and the application of ‘Big Data’ solutions in large data sets
Analytical techniques for data at rest and real-time data streams.
Hardware technology applications including: sensor networks, mobile communications, and wearable technologies.
