Computational Behavioral Science is a new scientific discipline which draws equally from computer science and psychology in order to transform the study of human behavior. It aims to create Behavior Imaging (BI) technology for modeling, analyzing, and visualizing social and communicative behavior and apply BI technology to support the diagnosis and treatment of autism and other behavioral and developmental disorders.
The Key Laboratory of Machine Perception (Ministry of Education) in School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Peking University and Department of Psychology, Peking University will together hold up the Computational Behavioral Science Summer School between 13rd and 20th July, 2014 in Peking University, Beijing, China. The Summer School will give Graduate Students and Young Researchers the opportunity to interact with world famous scientists and learn about frontier research in the field of computational behavioral science.
Participants have the opportunity to present their work and discuss ideas in a relaxed and open atmosphere, with plenty of time for interaction between participants.
To apply, submit your CV via email to Junhua Zhang at jhzhpku-AT-gmail.com by May 30th, 2014. Applicants will be contacted shortly after this date regarding the outcome of their application and registration.If you are interested in presenting your own work, please submit an abstract of your paper(pdf file) when applying, and send the complete paper to Junhua Zhang at jhzhpku-AT-gmail.com by May 30th, 2014. Papers would be selected by the scientific committee.
Other perspective participants who are interested in attending the summer school but do not mean to present a paper are required to send the CV only.
Participants should pay their own fees for trips and accommodations. Participants who are not students should pay the tuition fee according to Graduate School of Peking University. Organizers supply course materials without need to pay.
