2014 International Workshop on High-Performance Computing in
Nuclear Science and Engineering (HPCN 2014)
in Conjunction with the MCSoC'14
September 23-25, 2014, Aizu-Wakamatsu, Japan.
http://www.hpscc.org/hpcn2014/
This workshop aims at providing a world's premier forum for leading researchers
to report their recent progress in computational nuclear science and engineering,
ranging from CFD to computational reactor physics and chemistry, to computer
science, with a special emphasis on industrially relevant applications.
Prospective authors are invited to submit paper of their works.
Submission of a paper implies that at least one of the authors will have
a full registration to the symposium upon acceptance of the paper.
Original papers describing new and previously unpublished results are solicited
on high performance computing in nuclear science and engineering.
The major topics include, but not limited to:
- Many-Core Processing, Data and Workflow Management, and Memory Technologies
- Cloud Infrastructure, Service, and Application for Scientific Computing
- Numerical Methods in Reactor Physics, Thermal Hydraulics, and their Couplings
- Visualization and Simulation in Multi-Physics, Fluid Dynamics, and Structural
Engineering
- Computational Intelligence in Reactor Design, Operation, and Safety
- Performance Evaluation, Validation and Verification, and Uncertainty
Quantification
Important Dates
- Full papers submission: March 31, 2014 (to be open)
- Acceptance notification: May 31, 2014
- Camera-ready papers: June 30, 2014

venue.
This workshop is considered part of the overall MCSoC conferences and hence
included in the conference registration. All submitted papers to the workshop
should be submitted ELECTRONICALLY.
Publication
Proceedings of HPCN 2014 will be published by IEEE CS Press, and will be included
in the Computer Society Digital Library CSDL and IEEE Xplore. All HPCN conference
publications are also submitted for indexing to EI¡¯s Engineering Information
Index, Compendex, and ISI Thomson¡¯s Scientific and Technical Proceedings, ISTP/ISI
Proceedings, ISI Thomson, and DBLP.
Special Issue (TBA)
High quality papers will be invited to be submitted to a special issue in:
