Topics/Call fo Papers

After a decade of extensive research on application-specific wireless sensor networks, the recent development of information and communication technologies makes it practical to realize software defined wireless sensor networks, which are able to adapt various application requirements and to fully explore the computation and communication resources. Many emerging technologies such as software defined radio, over-the-air programming, field programmable gate array, open flow, etc., are available to realize the vision of software defined sensor networks from a diversity of aspects, from the physical layer to the application layer. However, how to explore these technologies towards software defined sensor networks is still in its infancy. Many challenging are still faced by WSN developers and it is significant to tackle them.
Topics of Interest
The purpose of the 2013 International Workshop on Software Defined Sensor Networks (SDSN 2013) is to provide a forum for practitioners and researchers from diverse backgrounds to interact and exchange experiences about the design and implementation of software defined sensor networks. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
software defined radio network
over-the-air programming
field programmable gate array
awareness computing
environment and context modeling
middleware systems
deployment and configuration
programming languages and compilers
development methodologies
deployment and configuration
energy efficient protocols
Paper submission:
Papers are solicited in the IEEE proceedings format with up to six (6) pages. Papers in PDF format must be submitted via Easy Chair by using the following URL: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=sdsn20....
All submissions must be original prior unpublished work and not under review elsewhere. All papers will be reviewed and selected based on their originality, merit, and relevance to the workshop. Accepted papers must be presented at the workshop, and will appear in the MSN proceedings. Please email to TPC chairs via (deze-z-AT-u-aizu.ac.jp) if you have any questions.
