MJASC is becoming a very important event for the Look East research community and is aimed to improve every year in both quality and quantity. MJASC 2013 provides a unique platform for a diverse community of constituents involved in the Look East Policy as a medium to exchange knowledge and information about latest research. A source of research findings for Malaysia and Japan specifically, and other countries in general, especially among young researchers, industrial sectors and government policymakers. It will be served as a resourceful reference and platform to reflect the outcome of the Look East Policy products to the related parties.
The main objective of MJASC is to create a platform for research collaboration in Japanese and Malaysian institutions focusing on knowledge creation and innovation and to provide a unique platform for a diverse community of constituents involved in the Look East Policy as a platform to exchange knowledge and information about latest research from students and researchers.
The conference scope ranges from science & technology, computing, engineering, mathematics, business and arts. The MJASC 2013 seeks original contributions in all relevant areas, including but not limited to the following topics:

Poster
MJASC 2013 also encourages the submission of posters to provide an environment for demonstrating and discussing work in progress, and industry presentations of new applications, techniques, technologies, or approaches in the field of computer and network security.
Authors are invited to submit a short proposal illustrating the main contributions of their posters. Proposals should contain an abstract stressing the motivation and rationale for their contribution. Poster may reflect initial results of the work. Posters will be evaluated mainly on their ability to promote discussion, inspire the exchange of ideas, and foster collaborations among conference participants. Poster proposals must conform to writing style guidelines as following:
1 page A0 paper size including:
i.Abstract
ii.Introduction
iii.Methodology
iv.Results and discussion
v. References
Accepted Posters will be published in MJASC 2013 conference proceedings.

Invited Research Promotional Short Paper
MJASC 2013 invites short paper of two (2) to four (4) pages from academic institutes, targeting:
1) Malaysian Universities
2) Japanese Universities
3) Satellite Institute of Japanese Universities in Malaysia
Short paper of two pages may include major research and developments that are being carried out or innovations that have been achieved by the related academic institutions.

2. Poster: one (1) page maximum.
3. Invited Research Promotional Short Paper: two (2) to four (4) pages *(Only applied for invited institutes)

The submission process is carried on through Springer Online Conference Service (OCS). For this purpose, authors are kindly requested to register a user account on the OCS website as detailed below.

Check your email and follow the link therein.
Complete the registration with your personal details.
Manuscript Submission (after registration)
Follow this link.
Authenticate with your OCS login.
Provide your manuscript title, keywords, abstract (max. 250 words), and list of authors.
Tick the (one or more) relevant topics for your manuscript as Sessions.
Upload your manuscript/poster and submit together with the “Consent to Publish“.
All manuscript and posters will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, impact, and soundness. Each manuscript or poster will be refereed by experts in the field who are independent of the conference program committee.
The review process by panel reviewers will be held from 4th until 14th June 2013. After 21st June, each of authors may receive their reports on their papers. If the manuscript/poster needs to be changed by the author, it is possible to start another review cycle. The submitter will be asked to upload an improved version of new document. While doing this, he/she may also write a rebuttal to justify himself against the reviews.
Accepted manuscript or poster will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance.
Proceedings of the MJASC 2013 will be published by Springer-LNEE (EI and SCOPUS Index).
