ICIST Conference is hosted by the biggest technical university in the Baltic States ? Kaunas University of Technology. First organized as part of "Lithuanian Science and Industry" conference series in 1995, in Kaunas, Lithuania, the event turned international in 2008. Being an international annual event, ICIST Conference remains very relevant and important for the local Lithuanian academic community as well ? it remains among the main national events, which brings Lithuanian scientist and practitioners as well as foreign guests together. Therefore, the 2013 iteration of the Conference remains faithful to its comparatively widespread thematic roots. Promotion of multidisciplinary approaches and methods designed to simplify the convergence of social and IT requirements as well as accompanying technologies remain at the center of attention.
To further encourage such convergence, the event will be co-located for the fourth time with the full day long Industrial Tutorials on Software Development Practices by well-known practitioners (agenda to be published later on the Conference site). We kindly invite our old academic friends as well as new contributors to join the event and share their knowledge and experience on Information Systems, Software Engineering and other relevant topics.
