BRACIS 2013 Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems
Fortaleza, Ceará, 19 ? 24/10/2013
The Brazilian Conference on Intelligent System (BRACIS 2013) is the combination of the two most important scientific events in Brazil in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computational Intelligence (CI): the Brazilian Symposium on Artificial Intelligence ? SBIA and the Brazilian Symposium on Neural Networks ? SBRN. SBIA has been the leading conference in Brazil for presentation of research and applications in Artificial Intelligence. There have been 21 editions of the event, since the first one in
1984. It has promoted research of international level in AI and scientific exchange among AI researchers, practitioners, scientists, and engineers in related disciplines, congregated in Brazil.
SBRN has been the leading conference in Brazil dedicated to Neural Networks (NNs) and other models of Computational Intelligence (CI) such as Fuzzy Logic and Evolutionary Computing. There have been 12 editions of the event, since the first one in 1994. The major focus of conference has been on original theories and novel applications dealing with the use and analysis of computational intelligence techniques.
In their 2013 editions, SBIA and SBRN will be integrated into a single broader conference, BRACIS 2013. The goal of BRACIS 2013 is to stimulate the development of high-level research that crosses boundaries between disciplines in AI and CI.
