MMET is the largest forum of this sort in the Former Soviet Union (FSU). It is famous as efficient interface between the FSU and Western scientists and engineers in the broad area of modeling and simulation of electromagnetic fields including wave propagation, radiation, scattering, guidance, processing, etc. Characteristic feature of MMET is a stronger emphasis on the analytical and mathematical aspects of research into electromagnetics.
Organizers: IEEE AP/MTT/ED/AES/GRS/NPS/EMB East Ukraine Joint Chapter, in cooperation with the Institute of Radio-Physics and Electronics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (IRE NASU), V.N. Karazin Kharkov National University, Ukrainian NC URSI, IEEE PS Ukraine Chapter, IEEE APS, MTTS and EDS, IEEE IRE-Kharkiv Student Branch, IEEE Ukraine Section.
14th International Conference on Mathematical Methods in Electromagnetic Theory will be hosted by V.N. Karazin Kharkov National University (www.univer.kharkov.ua). Kharkov National University is one of the major universities in Ukraine, and earlier in the Russian Empire and Soviet Union. It was founded in 1804 through the efforts of Vasyl Karazin becoming the second oldest university in Ukraine after the University of Lviv.
Kharkiv is the second-largest city in Ukraine. The city was founded in 1654 and was a major centre of Ukrainian culture in the Russian Empire. Kharkiv was a capital of Ukrainian republic from 1917 until 1934, when the republic government moved to Kiev. Kharkov airport (HRK) (http://hrk.aero) is the modern airport for international and local flights connecting the city with main European cities, Russia, Georgia, Israel, Turkey, UAE etc., and Ukrainian cities, as well.
