CRNet 2009--The 1st International Workshop on Cognitive Radio Network

2009 International Workshop on Cognitive Radio Network (CRNet 2009) will be held in conjunction with CHINACOM'09 in Xi'an, China, August 26-28, 2009. Accepted and presented papers will be included in the conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore. High quality accepted and presented papers will be indexed by EI. As various kinds of new wireless services are showing up and the demand for higher quality of services is increasing, more and more spectrum is allocated, making it becomes a precious natural resource. However, the approach of spectrum allocation is commonly fixed. As a result, large amount of spectrum resource remains unused in this way. Hence, the emerging concept of Cognitive Radio Network is of great importance because it attempts to realize the convergence of the heterogeneous radio networks and the optimize utilization of the radio resources. Cognitive Radio Network is a completely new network which has the ability of sensing its surrounding environments and adaptiv
ely adjusts its transmission parameters so that radio resource utilization can be greatly improved and also realize the convergence of heterogeneous radio networks.
Topics of Interest
This workshop aims to present the state-of-the-art research contributions that address the various aspects of Cognitive Radio Network. Topics of interest include, but not limited to:
Dynamic spectrum management
End-to-End reconfigurability
