The IEEE Society for Social Implications of Technology (SSIT) invites you to participate in its flagship event, the 2019 IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS). IEEE ISTAS 2019 takes place 15- 16 November in Boston MA, hosted by the School of Engineering of Tufts University, on its Medford Campus.
IEEE ISTAS is an interdisciplinary forum for engineers and policy makers, entrepreneurs and educators, philosophers and researchers, social scientists and technologists, practitioners and polymaths to collaborate, exchange experiences, and discuss the social, cultural, ethical, economic and environmental implications of technology.
We welcome proposals for papers, discussion panels and workshop sessions focused on the relationship between technology, sustainable development and social issues ranging from the economic and ethical to the cultural and environmental.
All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to another conference or journal.

A paper will only be published in the Conference Proceedings if the author or a co-author registers for the Conference and presents the results during the event. Any author or co-author can only present one paper in the program.
Papers accepted for the Conference Proceedings and presented during the conference by their author or co-author will be submitted for publication in IEEE Xplore.
Workshop/Panel Submissions - Deadline 30 August
2 page panel and workshop submissions for a 90 minute parallel session should be sent by email to secretariat.istas-AT-gmail.com up to 30 August .
