IEPC (International Electric Propulsion Conference) is the world’s largest forum in the field of electric propulsion for spacecraft, aiming at the exchange among researchers, developers, managers, scholars, and students and at the promotion of thruster R&D and space activities.
The conference is held every other year in alternation between a US and a non-US location and participants from more than twenty countries come together representing the worldwide electric propulsion community. Succeeding the 33rd IEPC in Washington DC, USA in 2013, it will return to Japan after 16 years, jointly with the 30th ISTS (International Symposium on Space Technology and Sciences) and the 6th NSAT (Nano-Satellite symposium).
IEPC is held every other year in alternation between a US and a non-US location. Succeeding the 33rd IEPC in Washington DC, USA in 2013, it will return to Japan after 16 years. The 34th IEPC is the third conference held in Japan, following the 17th IEPC jointly with 15th ISTS at Tokyo in 1984 and the 26th IEPC at Kitakyushu in 1999.
IEPC is the premier venue for researchers from around the world to meet and discuss the latest in the field of electric propulsion under the sponsorship of the Electric Rocket Propulsion Society. Conference topics include experimental and numerical investigations of technologies such as ion thrusters, Hall effect thrusters, arc and resistojets, MPDs and FRCs, as well as basic plasma processes, diagnostics, and mission trade studies. The conference provides the perfect forum to present research findings, and offers an unequalled opportunity to learn the latest developments, meet with colleagues, and establish new business contacts.
