SRTA 2014 - Special Session on Simulation and Real Time Applications for Road Traffic Management

This special session focuses on simulation tools and real-time applications in relation to road traffic management and prediction for smart cities, from both the decision-maker's perspective, as well as that of the end-user. Large amounts of data (e.g. real-time traffic information) and technologies (e.g. communication devices) are available and these influence how Intelligent Transportation System solutions are designed. Thus, we are particularly interested in how these data and technologies can be incorporated in domain-related models and simulations. We aim to bring together experts from both industry and academia to discuss the challenges related to modelling and simulation for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
